Dime Novel books are published as issues (ranging anywhere from 20-50 pages in length) in a series. For example, Jake: Vampire Hunter is a series with multiple issues like “A King’s Right” (Issue #7 in the first volume). Each series is composed of one or more volumes (a volume may be up to 26 issues). For each series, we publish in 6-issue commitments after which we evaluate the series and decide whether or not to continue. If we decide that the series has merit, we commission another 6 issues.

The format of each issue includes the following:

• Title page (announcing the title of the issue, legal disclaimers, and byline)
• Recap (a short recap of the previous issue)
• Story
• Preview (a short preview of the next issue)

Although Dime Novel Publishing’s primary publishing format is e-book, all books are put into a standard layout for potential physical distribution. This layout is a letter-sized paper folded in half (with appropriate gutters and margins) for a saddle-stapled booklet that can be displayed in retail via a rotating, wireframe rack. In addition, authors may elect to provide their series in audiobook format. For these authors, Dime Novel Publishing can distribute their audiobook via iTunes.
